I’m contemplating changing Rin’s design by making her feathers transition from lime to teal, instead of keeping those areas solid lime green. I might go a little less dramatic but I actually really like how this looks…

the guy in the lower left corner is a quick doodle to see how it looks on a different character, since it would look really weird if Rin was the only one of these bird type characters who has two colors in their feathers. that guy’s markings used to be solid red, I think he looks alright with the orange in there. I tend to enjoy three color designs anyway (and I also tend to count white as a color when perhaps I shouldn’t, whoops)

I like how these colors turned out, which is really saying something because I really hated these colors when I was messing around trying to figure out something that works

in fact I like these colors so much that frog-man boss-man might become more of a recurring character than just a one panel dude
